1. Calling the Roll.

The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Euille, and the City Clerk called the Roll; all Members of City Council were present.

2. Public Hearing on the City Manager's Proposed Annual Operating Budget for FY 2008 (Including Schools and Proposed Tax Rates) and the Proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for FY 2008-2013 (including the School CIP.) Adoption is Scheduled for May 7, 2007.

Council heard testimony on the FY 2008 Budget and CIP for FY 2008-2013. Budget adoption will be May 7, 2007.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

3. Consideration of Convening An Executive Session Closed to the Public For Discussion of Potential Litigation.

At 8:38 p.m., City Council convened in executive session, pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(a)(3) for the purpose of discussing the acquisition of real property for a public purpose.

At 9:11 p.m., City Council reconvened the special meeting.

City Council authorized the City Manager and City Attorney to acquire the property at 48 South Early Street, along the lines discussed with Council.

City Council adopted the resolution pertaining to the Executive Session. (Res. No. 2222)
