Two Arrests are made in the Katelyn Frazier Homicide Case

Today, an Alexandria grand jury returned indictments against Asher Levin, a 31-year-old male and Pennee Frazier, the 25-year-old mother of the victim, both residents of Maryland, for the death of 3-year-old Katelyn Frazier. Levin was charged with Second Degree Murder and Frazier was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter. Both suspects also face child neglect and abuse charges.

On Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at 4:04 p.m., medics responded to an apartment in the 2200 block of North Beauregard Street for the report of an unconscious child. Medics called police and Katelyn Frazier was transported to Children’s Hospital where she was hospitalized and treated for her injuries. She died two days later at the hospital as a result of blunt force trauma.

Commonwealth’s Attorney S. Randolph Sengel made a brief statement regarding the indictments and arrests this evening at 10:00 p.m. in front of the Alexandria Courthouse, 520 King Street. Copies of the indictments are available upon request.
