Public Notices:

The location of the Tuesday, October 28, 2008 City Council Legislative Meeting and Work Session on the Landmark/Van Dorn Plan has been changed to the School Board Administration Building, 2000 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria.

The City Council Legislative Meeting of November 11, 2008 has been changed to Wednesday, November 19, 2008.

Members of City Council will be attending the Virginia Municipal League Conference October 19-21, 2008, in Norfolk, Virginia.

City Council will hold its Council Retreat on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 9:30 a.m., at the Transportation and Environmental Services and Recreation Department's Main Facilities Building at 2900 Business Center Drive, Alexandria.

City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY 2010 Budget on Thursday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m.

There will be a City of Alexandria Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Projects Open House on Thursday, November 6, at 6:00 p.m. and a CIP Presentation and Discussion at 7:00 p.m. at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson Street.

The Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer will be held October 25, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. at the AMC Hoffman Theatres, 206 Swamp Fox Road.

The City of Alexandria Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Market Square.

The Mayor's Annual Unity Breakfast will be held on November 26, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. at the Mark Center Hilton.

The Scottish Christmas Walk Parade will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 11:00 a.m.
