OTHER BUSINESS:
(1.) On January 12, the City of Alexandria’s Uptown/Parker-Gray Historic District was officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The P&Z website has been updated and the City will be sending out an official press release.
(2.) After your regular meeting on February 24, 2010 there will be a James Bland Work Session.
(3.) Staff has proposed a joint work session between the PG and OHAD Boards on Wednesday, March 17 at 6:30 pm, immediately prior to the regular OHAD Board meeting. This session will identify those signs attached to buildings (such as parking garage entrance signs), which are within the Boards approval purview, and present the remainder of the signs in the right-of-way for context and advisory comment to the Planning Commission.
(4.) Congratulations to Mr. Marlow on purchasing a new home. Unfortunately, it is in Arlington, so he will need to resign from the PG Board, although he is welcome to reapply and request a residency waiver.
