THE FOLLOWING DOCKET ITEMS ARE NEW CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS:

R-8, RESIDENTIAL
David Allen and Christiana Leslie, owners: Special exception to construct a two story rear addition 7.20 feet from the south side property line. If the special exception is granted, the Board of Zoning Appeals will be granting a special exception from section 12-102(A) of the zoning ordinance relating to physical enlargement of a noncomplying structure.

If the special exception is granted, the Board of Zoning Appeals will be granting a special exception from section 12-102(A) of the zoning ordinance relating to physical enlargement of a noncomplying structure.

C. Consideration of the minutes of the October 16, 2008 Board of Zoning Appeals hearing.

D. Additional Business
1. At the October 16, 2008 Board workshop the Board recommended a change to the existing BZA Rules of Procedure regarding the deferral process. The proposed change is as follows; VII. Deferrals and Continuances On an affirmative vote, an applicant shall be allowed may be granted one month’s deferral as of right. See Attached copy of the City of Alexandria Board of Zoning Appeals Rules of Procedure.
