City of Alexandria’s Jerome “Buddie” Ford Nature Center
To Host Nature Night

Event Features Presentation by the Raptor Conservancy of Virginia

On Friday, October 26, from 7 to 9 p.m., come discover what happens after dark in Dora Kelley Nature Park. Participants will meet at the Jerome “Buddie” Ford Nature Center, 5750 Sanger Ave., for an indoor presentation about animal nightlife, followed by a walk in the park. Naturalist staff will provide participants with a first-hand look at what animals do before going to sleep—and the behaviors of nocturnal animals, who are just waking up. Come take advantage of this unique opportunity to discover a new world of animals at night.

The program will feature live owls presented by the Raptor Conservancy of Virginia. The Raptor Conservancy of Virginia is dedicated to the rehabilitation and release to the wild of injured, ill, or orphaned native Virginia birds of prey. For more information, visit www.raptorsva.org.

The Nature Night program is free and open to the public, but reservations are recommended. To make a reservation, or to obtain additional information regarding nature programs, call the City’s Naturalist staff at 703.838.4829. In the event of inclement weather, contact the Nature Center at 703.838.4829 for program updates.
