City of Alexandria Announces November 19 Legislative Meeting and Public Hearing The City of Alexandria will hold its regular monthly meeting (November 13) and public hearing (November 17) on Monday, November 19 in the City Council Chambers. The legislative meeting will begin at 5 p.m. At 7 p.m., the public hearing will begin. There will be an immediate, one-hour recess for the Mayor and City Council to attend the Virginia Air Pollution Control Board (Control Board) public hearing meeting at the Lee Center (1108 Jefferson St.) in the Exhibit Hall. The Mayor, members of City Council and the City Attorney will attend the Control Board meeting to provide comments on the draft State Operating Permit for the Mirant Potomac River LLC’s Potomac River Generating Station. The Mayor and City Council will reconvene the public hearing at 8 p.m. in City Council Chambers and follow the regularly-scheduled agenda. Full-text copies of ordinances, resolutions, and agenda items are available in the Office of the City Clerk and Clerk of the Council. Meeting materials are also available online at alexandriava.gov/council.
