UPDATE – Suspect Arrested

Today, Alexandria detectives charged Tamer Castle, 30, of no fixed address, with Robbery and Possession of Burglarious Tools in connection with the robbery of a BB&T Bank on December 11. He is being held at the Alexandria Detention Center without bond.
Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at BB&T Bank

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred today at the BB&T Bank at 4999 Seminary Road in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 3:45 P.M., a suspect entered the bank, approached the teller and demanded money. The victim teller complied and the suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, in his early 30s, approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall. He had a moustache and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a light gray jacket with a white stripe down the shoulders and sleeves, dark pants and a blue Dallas Cowboys baseball cap.
