Multi-cultural Town Meeting to Address
Building Trust During War

There will be a Multicultural Town Meeting on May 8 from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Mark Center Hilton, 5000 Seminary Rd. Residents of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area are invited to discuss the topic, “Building Trust During War: Dealing with Differences and Embracing Commonalities.” In the shadow of 9/11, the war and terrorist threats bring a lot of anxiety for people from all cultures; it brings some groups together and tears others apart. This meeting is a forum where people can come together to build understanding.

The Multi-cultural Town Meeting is sponsored by the Fairfax-Falls Church and Alexandria Community Resilience Projects in collaboration with George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR). The Community Resilience Project is a post-9/11/01 program funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and managed by local community services boards.

To reserve a seat, call 703-533-5388. For more information, call Tricia Bassing at 703.838.6400 ext.155.
