The Burke & Herbert Bank at 621 King Street is Robbed
The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at the Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust Co., located at 621 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.
At approximately 1:14 p.m., the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The suspect demanded money and the employee complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed.
The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30, 5-feet 4-inches tall, clean shaven with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark ball cap and a dark jacket. The suspect was last seen on foot.
