Alexandria police continue to investigate the sexual assault of a teenage girl over the weekend. The following composite sketch is of her assailant. Detectives will be distributing "Wanted" posters with the suspect sketch in the shopping center and apartment complexes near the crime scene.

Just after midnight on Sunday, May 13, a 14-year-old Fairfax County girl was sexually assaulted by a stranger in the 4800 block of Kenmore Avenue. The victim had just left a social event and decided to wait for family members in her mother’s car parked nearby. A short time after the victim entered the car, a the suspect opened the passenger’s car door and started to get in. The victim exited the car and the suspect punched her, and forced her to a nearby wooded area where he sexually assaulted her. Police were called and the victim was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 22 years old, 5'8", with a military style short haircut and was wearing a white v-neck t-shirt, red plaid shirt, blue jeans and black boots.
