Alexandria Police Investigate Critical Injuries to a Child
Detectives with the Alexandria Police Department are investigating critical injuries suffered by a 3-year-old girl. Today, at approximately 4:04 p.m., medics responded to an apartment in the 2200 block of North Beauregard Street for the report of an unconscious child. Medics called police and had the child transported to Children’s Hospital by helicopter. Upon arrival, the victim was unconscious and unresponsive with life-threatening injuries of an undetermined nature. She is currently in critical condition.
Police are interviewing the child’s parents, however, no charges have been filed. Police are not releasing the names of the child nor her parents at this time.
