Present: Mayor Kerry J. Donley, Vice Mayor Redella S. Pepper, Members of Council William C. Cleveland, William D. Euille, Lonnie C. Rich, and Lois L. Walker.

Absent: None.

OPENING

The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Donley, and the City Clerk called the Roll; all Members of City Council were present, with Councilman Euille arriving at 9:00 p.m.

(It was noted that a Notice of this Special Meeting had been previously served upon each Member of Council pursuant to a provision of the City Charter, a copy of the Notice certified by each Member of Council being on file in the office of the City Clerk and Clerk of Council.)

Ed Risley, 7212 Beechwood Road, representing the Friends of Dyke Marsh, spoke against Alternative 5, the "Southern High Bridge, " and indicated the all tunnel alignment would be fine; a copy of Mr. Risley's statement is on file in the office of the City Clerk and Clerk of Council, marked Exhibit No. 9 of Item No. 2; 3/13/96, and is incorporated herewith as part of this record by reference;

Harry Flemming, 1250 South Washington Street, president, Porto Vecchio Unit Owners Association, spoke in support of the all tunnel proposal and against Alternative #5, "Southern High Bridge" alignment;

The public hearing was held and concluded. City Council will consider the designation of a preferred candidate build alternative for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge at its Public Hearing Meeting on Saturday, March 23, 1996.



THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO BE CONSIDERED, upon motion by Vice Mayor Pepper, seconded by Council Member Walker and carried unanimously, at 10:30 p.m., the Special Meeting of March 13, 1996, was adjourned. The voting was as follows:
