City Council has been invited to attend the next meeting of the Upper Potomac West Work Group on Wednesday, June 5, 2002. The Meeting will be held at the Cora Kelly Recreation Center, 25 West Reed Avenue, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss ideas for improvements along Mount Vernon Avenue that can be undertaken in the short/mid-term, incorporating the elements of the long-term vision for the neighborhood. Specifically, the agenda for the meeting will include presentation and discussion of ideas and concepts for Mount Vernon Avenue, including crosswalks, additional on-street parking, improved access to Four Mile Run Park, streetscape improvement, guidelines for infill development and lighting.
