NOTICE OF SPECIAL COUNCIL INSTALLATION MEETING

Please take notice that there was a Special Installation Meeting of the newly elected City Council of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in the T.C. Williams High School John C. Albohm Auditorium, 3330 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia, at which time the following program was considered.

1. Musical Selection by the Alexandria City Employees Choir.

The Alexandria City Employees Choir provided the audience with musical selections prior to the start of the meeting.

2. Call to Order of the Meeting by the City Clerk and Clerk of Council.

The meeting was called to order by City Clerk and Clerk of Council Jackie Henderson.

3. Presentation of the Colors by the Combined Alexandria Police, Fire and Sheriff Departments' Color Guard.

The Colors were posted by the combined Alexandria Police, Fire and Sheriff Departments' Color Guard.

6. Reading of the Statement of the Results of the May 6, 2003 Election by the Secretary of the Electoral Board Mary LaMois.

Mary LaMois, Secretary of the Electoral Board, read the above statement. Certificates were then presented to the Members of City Council.

7. City Clerk calls for the Oath of Office for Mayor William D. Euille to be Given by Clerk of the Circuit Court Edward Semonian.

City Clerk Henderson requested that Clerk of the Circuit Court Edward Semonian give the Oath of Office to William D. Euille, as Mayor. Mr. Semonian administered the Oath of Office to Mayor William D. Euille.

8. Oath of Office Given to Members of City Council Ludwig P. Gaines, K. Robert Krupicka, Andrew H. Macdonald, Redella S. "Del" Pepper, Paul C. Smedberg, and Joyce Woodson by Clerk of the Circuit Court Edward Semonian.

City Clerk Henderson requested that the Clerk of the Circuit Court give the Oath of Office to Members of City Council Ludwig P. Gaines, Rob Krupicka, Andrew H. Macdonald, Redella S. Pepper, Paul C. Smedberg and Joyce Woodson. Mr. Semonian administered the Oath of Office to the Members of Council.
