The City Council and the City School Board will hold a joint work session on Monday, December 6, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the following:

I. T.C. Williams Update (ACPS)

a. Video (virtual reality tour of new T.C.Williams)
b. Update on status and schedule (ACPS)
c. Methods/timing of regular updates for City Council (Joint)

II. State of the Schools – Progress, Initiatives, and Successes (ACPS) (including laptop initiative, financial implications of No-Child Left Behind requirements, and student surveys)

III. City-School collaboration opportunities for joint efficiencies

a. Employee health insurance plans (City)
b. Steps for moving forward with consolidated city-schools services (Joint)
c. Pre kindergarten education (ACPS)
d. Status report on Before/After School program review (City)

IV. Major budget issues (ACPS)

a. Operating
b. Capital
