City Council Held a Special City Council Meeting on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. for the Following Purposes:

1. Consideration of Convening an Executive Session Closed to the Public To Discuss the Appointment of the New City Manager, Pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia.

City Council adopted a resolution to come out of the executive session meeting held November 30, 2004 for the purpose of discussing the appointment of the new city manager. (Res. No. 2127)
Council Action:_________________________________________________________

2. Consideration of the Appointment of the City Manager.

City Council appointed James K. Hartmann to the Office of Alexandria City Manager effective January 10, 2005 and authorized the Mayor to execute the employment agreement with the new City Manager on behalf of the City.
