Please take notice that the City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers and Council Workroom of City Hall, 301 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia, for the purpose of considering the following item.

1. Consideration of Convening An Executive Session Closed to the Public For the Purpose of Discussing the Appointment of a New City Manager, Including Meeting With the City's Recruitment Consultant and Discussing the City Manager Job Profile.
City Council May Also Meet in Public Session to Discuss the Appointment of a New City Manager and To Discuss the Job Profile.

City Council met in executive session.

Council moved that City Council approve and give authority to the consultant retained for the purpose of hiring a new city manager, Maximus, to approve the City Manager profile, and after approval that they be able to distribute that profile and make it available to potential candidates.

The meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
