Consideration of Convening an Executive Session Closed to the Public to Discuss the Compensation of the Commonwealth Attorney and Council Appointees, and Potential Litigation Involving the Potomac River Generating Station. At 6:36 p.m., City Council convened in Executive Session, pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, for the purpose of discussing the compensation of the Commonwealth Attorney and Council appointees, and pursuant to Section 2.2-3711(A)(7) for the purpose of discussing potential litigation involving the DEQ permit for the Mirant Power Plant. At 8:06 p.m., City Council reconvened the meeting. City Council moved to authorize the Mayor to set the compensation of the Commonwealth Attorney and Council appointees for Fiscal Year 2009 as discussed with the Council.
