23. Other Business.

A. Chairman Hurd discussed the Year 2000 plan for the region, dated 1961, and suggested that Mr. Lynn copy relevant pages and circulate them to the Planning Commissioners.

B. The Commission discussed Mr. Lynn's memo about the Council policy on Old Town restaurants, and specifically the statement about retaining diversity. The Commission acknowledged the imprecision of the policy statement, suggested that the Planning Director recommend denial of the cases that do not meet the policy, and declined to undertake any work to revise the statement.

C. Mr. Leibach requested that staff explain any plans for the Waterfront.

D. Mr. Wagner discussed theprogress of the Open Space Subcommittee.
