Public Notices:

City Council will hold its Council Retreat on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 9:45 a.m. at the Transportation and Environmental Services and Recreation Department's Maintenance Operations Building at 2900 Business Center Drive, Alexandria.

The Walk to Fight Breast Cancer will be held October 25, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. at the AMC Hoffman Theatres, 206 Swamp Fox Road.

The City Council Meeting of November 11, 2008 has been changed to Wednesday, November 19, 2008, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.

City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY 2010 Budget on Thursday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.

There will be a Capital Improvements Program Projects Open House on Thursday, November 6, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson Street. There will also be a CIP Presentation and Discussion at 7:00 p.m. at the Lee Center.

The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Market Square.

The Mayor's Annual Unity Breakfast will be held on November 26, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. at the Mark Center Hilton.

The Scottish Christmas Walk Parade will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 11:00 a.m.
